1. Who we are
Verdant Life (“we”, “us”) is a small-batch, plant-based food brand based in Cape Town, South Africa. Questions: hello@verdantlife.co.za.
2. What we collect
- Contact form: name, email, enquiry type and message.
- Newsletter: email address.
- Orders: name, delivery address, contact details and order items. Payment details are handled by our payment provider — we never see or store them.
- Usage data: basic analytics only if you accept cookies.
3. Why we use it
To reply to enquiries, process and deliver orders, send newsletters you signed up for, and improve the website.
4. Who we share it with
Only providers needed to run the shop: payment gateway (Stitch), courier, and email/hosting providers. We do not sell your personal information.
5. How long we keep it
Order records as required for tax and accounting. Newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Enquiries only as long as needed to help you.
6. Cookies
No tracking cookies until you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can decline and the site works the same.
7. Your rights under POPIA
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold, object to processing, or unsubscribe. Email hello@verdantlife.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
8. Security
The site runs over HTTPS and payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider. We take reasonable steps to protect your information.
